Project 11 — Luc’s Comfortable All-Road Bike

“>Luc’s children gave him his Zafi as a gift.
He wasn’t seeking performance. He wanted a versatile, comfortable bike capable of leaving the tarmac without hesitation.
When he visited the atelier and discovered the black walnut frame, the technicalities fell away. He stopped talking shop; he was simply captivated by the material.
He opted for a lightweight Zafi Roots, engineered for effortless fluidity. As a connoisseur of Italian drivetrains, the Campagnolo Ekar groupset was a natural choice—a mechanical gem that perfectly complements the frame’s clean lines. To round out the build, we fitted Shamal wheels from the same iconic manufacturer.
A sharp, lively assembly that remains inherently compliant.
Luc explores the rural stretches just beyond his doorstep. Backroads. Agricultural tracks. Trails that slowly disappear.
His bike no longer holds him back—and we couldn’t be happier for him.
