The crazy adventure of Giorgio Fouarge’s Wood World Tour
On August 7th, Giorgio Fouarge, the 23-year-old Belgian-Italian, embarked on his biggest challenge yet: the “Wood World Tour”. His goal is to travel around the world on a wooden bicycle, a Zafi! Alongside this sporting challenge, Giorgio wants to promote sustainable, human-scale tourism.
Leg 1 : The first part of the adventure consists of crossing Europe from Brussels to Istanbul, passing through Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, finally arriving in Istanbul and completing the first 3,300 km.
Leg 2 : Giorgio must now cross Asia to Bangladesh via Iran, Pakistan and Nepal for a total of 13,000km.
Leg 3 : Crossing Vietnam marks the end of the Asian adventure. Next stop: Australia!
Leg 4 : To get to Sydney from Perth you will have to travel along the hinterland for 25 days at a rate of 150 km per day.
Leg 5 : After Australia comes the 1,500 km crossing of New Zealand. Although one might think these two countries are similar, nothing could be further from the truth. A completely different landscape and culture await Giorgio.
Leg 6 : Latin America, unique in its culture, landscapes, and cuisine. 5,000 km of sunshine and generosity await Giorgio for his final leg outside Europe.
Leg 7 : After crossing 22 countries, there remains Lisbon – Madrid – Paris and finally back to Brussels after 200 days of an enriching, beautiful and unforgettable adventure.

Human Impulse aims to achieve this in less than 3 years. Departure on September 3, 2023.
Ultra D+ Challenge
Guillaume and Simon set off on August 15, 2022 to tackle the ultra D+ Challenge.
Three ultra cycling challenges which combined will give 1200km and 32,000 meters of elevation gain.

The final curtain falls on this infernal triptych. On August 20th, Guillaume embarked on the Ardennes adventure. He conquered the endless climbs one by one and delivered the coup de grâce on the Mur de Huy 20 hours and 48 minutes later. Meanwhile, Simon returned from Annecy and lined up for the Conquête on August 24th. Well warmed up by his Sunday alpine rides, he cruised through the Redoute, the Rosier, and the treacherous Meuse climbs in the Boarpack jersey. At 9:20 PM and a few minutes past the finish line, the cycle was complete. In the space of six days, Guillaume had tackled all seven Majors and the Conquête. As for Simon Malvaux, he managed to complete all three Monuments in the space of ten days.
